Tired of going through search terms looking for negative keywords? Here’s a script that does it for you. Use this for branded shopping campaigns and very niche shopping campaigns which easily trigger the wrong keywords.

Here’s how to get started:

  1. Open a new Google sheet
  2. List all keywords you want your targeted search terms to include in column A
    1. This means that all search terms that get triggered, which don’t include one of the keywords you have listed in your sheet, will get excluded
  3. Find your campaign ID and (depending on which script you choose) your ad set ID, as well as the sharing link to your new sheet
  4. Go to Google ads → Tools → Bulk actions → Scripts → ⊕ → “New script”
  5. And install one of the following three scripts, depending on which one suits your needs
  6. Never go through search terms again
